Personal Information

There is a separate space for your first and last names.  This may seem like simple information to enter, but amazingly some people will still manage to complete this section incorrectly.  Correct information is required if you want to find future employment.  Do not treat this section like other online accounts that you may have possessed in the past.  You must give your real first and last names.  Do not input false information.  All personal information is secure and will be stored for future online searches.

User Data

Use this section to create your online user name.  This is the name that you will provide in order to sign into your online account.  Unlike the previous section, you can use a fake or creative name in this area.  Read the directions and create a password that satisfies all of the requested criteria.  Your password has to have a certain amount of alpha and numeric symbols.    There are a lot of specific requirements that you must follow in order to create a valid password and login.  Make sure that both your password and login information follows all guidelines.

Email Address

Also within the user data section you will need to provide a valid email address.  You can use a disposable email address such as yahoo or hotmail; however, make sure that it is valid and accessible by you at all times.  Remember, the USPS must be able to contact you about your employment application.  If you give a fake or invalid email address, you will not receive updated information concerning your employment application. 

Search Jobs Online

Find your next job with the USPS by using the different provided search criteria.   Search by keyword, city, state, zip code or career area.  Enter a keyword for the type of job that you are looking for or search from the function areas that are already provided.  Your search results will give the location of the job, the job type and when it was posted.    If you find jobs of interest, apply for them online and you will be contacted by the United States Postal Service if you are qualified.
